The 10-year Treasury's round trip through 5%, and the auctions behind it
The ten-year Treasury yield carries 5.00% into the weekend after closing at 5.00%, 5.01%, 4.94% and 5.01% on four consecutive sessions. The push through the round number came from the front end of the curve, not from a repricing of long-term risk — and the auctions are where the long end states its price.
